Dried Apricots

Dried Apricots is a one-woman show written and performed by Eleonora Saravalle. The story follows Young Woman as she recounts the three days leading up to the release of her first novel (a bodice-ripper), days in which she faces the consequences of her misguided attempts to be what she thinks everyone else wants her to be.

The show is a 60 minute play that looks at how social pressure to be sexually prolific can lead to implosion, which even jokes about Freud, pap schmears (you read that right), and the comparison between sex and labor unions can't stave off. It’s a blend of Jewish neurosis and female anxiety that falls somewhere between Fleabag and Portnoy’s Complaint.

Fringe Biscuit called it “a brilliant solo performance portraying a well-crafted protagonist.”

Lemon Curd

Lemon Curd is an original screenplay by Eleonora Saravalle.

Logline: When a brain scan reveals that Vic was hit as a child, she feels it explains why she is the way she is. But as pressure from her girlfriend to cope with the trauma grows, Vic is willing to let her present unravel instead of facing her past — that is, until past and present merge in the form of a lemon curd jar.

Lemon Curd is an official selection of four festivals and placed as a semi-finalist in one.

A short version as proof of concept just wrapped filming and is in post-production.
